I am a 1940s housewife trapped in a 2011 modern girl. While I love the freedoms that modern times have brought us gals, I also long for a simpler life...back in the day when there were more sharply defined roles between men and women. I have a love for all things handmade...from food to accessories to baby items. I feel that the "art" of "craft" helps span the generations, and brings us back to simpler times and a better grasp of the human experience. I also hate waste...and try to re-use things, or recycle them into new things whenever possible. This includes leftovers!!
By day, I practice law in a small office, and spend my late afternoons following my two children through their various activities. They are my greatest accomplishments. I live with a husband who puts up with yarn being stored in the kitchen cabinets, but also benefits by small changes such as homemade pudding instead of pudding out of a box. And rounding us out are several extended family members and the most docile Jack Russell ever created by God.
I never strive for perfection...after all, what fun is that?
